Milling class...

milling class commences this week and overall it was fun learning how to shape our workpiece using machines instead of our own bare hands like last year... seriously now i realise y germany produces the best engineers in the world (sorry lah those who are in US or Aus or UK doing engineering course) coz i heard the germans learn all this stuff when they were in primary or secondary sch... not like us, now only we get to touch machines... haih

read urself wat this thing is...

different types of milling cutters...

my groupmate who din wear his duskcoat... bad example!
also shown in the pic is FP1, a type of milling machine... and the grey case is used to block the high speed chip which can burn u as soon as it touches ur skin... sth to do wif small size and high speed which produces massive heat energy, go figure out urself... physics, blah!
(we din learn how to block the chips in class, we improvise our own one... smart leh... haha)

my workpiece before it is being shaped... the diagramm on the bottom left is the product... maybe will post it up once i finish my project... hopefully it turn out to be like the diagramm shown... haha

i heard from my frens tat turning class is easier compare to milling... n their class is super free coz they finish their project earlier than expected... anyway, looking forward to classes next week although its super-packed, everyday 7am to 9pm non-stop...
